We the Augustinian Sisters of the Most Holy Annunciation arrived at Cochin on the 30th December 1986. It was a great desire of our superiors to open a house in Kerala to give the opportunity to the Indian sisters who are the members of the congregation to work among their own people and to spread the Augustinian spirituality in India.The origin of the Congregation of The Augustinian Sisters of the Most Holy Annunciation goes back to the beginning of the XVI century, at San Giovanni Valdarno, in Italy.

Activities

The fundamental mission of the Congregation is to LISTEN TO THE CRY OF HUMANITY and Open up to the new needs of the world .

We give much importance to young people and their problems of disorientation, isolation and deprivation of human values, and we encourage paths and meetings for young people, families, former students by creating opportunities to cultivate fruitful friendships for Christ.

Faith formation

Formation is an organic, life-long, and holistic process involving right thinking,right behaviors, and right feelings of individuals and communities.

Education

Education is one of the main activities of the Congregation It started schools with the support from diocese and carries out activities based on the vision and mission of the congregation

Social work

The congregation always cater to the societal need, especially women and vulnerable population

Healing Ministry

The congregation supports the hospitals and nearby health centres through the service for humanity
